Cover the squares?
Can you cover the large figure with rectangles - size as shown? No overlaps inside or outside the figure.

Consider the board as an unusual chess board. There are 50 white squares but only 48 grey squares. These cannot all be covered by rectangles each of which covers one white and one grey square.
